From a Spanish Pepper Field
to Your Production Line

Red chili peppers drying in the sun — the first step of our spice supply chain

From harvest to your warehouse — every batch traceable, every shipment documented.

Most bulk spice buyers in America never meet their producer. They buy from a distributor who bought from an importer who bought from a consolidator — sometimes years ago. By the time paprika reaches your blending floor, it may be 18 months old, re-milled by someone else, and stripped of the documentation your QA team actually needs.

Flavor Frontier Distributors was built to close that gap. Our founders bridged USA food manufacturing procurement and Spanish agricultural trade. We identified a direct route: a certified production facility in La Vera and Murcia — Spain's premier paprika regions — producing to BRC and IFS standard with advanced sterilization, milling, and laboratory infrastructure that had almost no direct channel to American buyers.

Today, we are that channel. Steam-sterilized, lab-tested, fully documented spices move from our Spanish production partner's floor directly into USA warehousing and distribution. Every batch is traced. Every shipment is auditable. Every certificate your procurement team requests is ready before you commit to an order.

We are not a broker. We are not a repackager. We are a direct-channel importer with end-to-end visibility from harvest through delivery — built specifically for American food manufacturers who are done settling for opaque supply chains.

IQS: Integrated Quality System

Total traceability from the Spanish fields to your American warehouse. Five checkpoints. Zero compromises.

1

Harvest Selection

Hand-selected from registered Spanish farms in La Vera and Murcia. Only harvest-grade product enters our supply chain. Variety, origin, and harvest date recorded at intake.

2

Raphanel Steam Sterilization

Steam treatment achieves a minimum 5-log bacterial reduction while preserving volatile oils, ASTA color values, and aroma compounds. No irradiation. No chemical treatment. No compromise on flavor.

3

Goudsmit Magnetic Separation & Metal Detection

Every production run passes through Goudsmit rare-earth magnetic separators and inline metal detectors. Rejection logs are maintained per batch and available on request.

4

PCR Laboratory Testing

In-house Applied Biosystems Fast 7500 enables rapid PCR detection of Salmonella, E. coli O157, and other pathogens. Results in hours, not days. No shipment leaves without a passing result.

5

Documentation & COA Release

Certificate of Analysis, SDS, allergen declarations, and sterilization records are issued per batch with full traceability to the specific harvest. Your QA team receives this package before goods are released.

Why Food Manufacturers
Choose Us

Most bulk spice distributors in the USA are re-brokers — buying from importers who bought from consolidators who bought from processors. By the time the product reaches your blending floor, it may be two years old, re-milled by someone else, and stripped of the documentation your QA team needs. We are different by design.

No Middlemen

We are the importer and the distributor. One relationship, one point of accountability, one price — with no broker margin stacked on top. When you call, you speak to the people who own the supply chain.

Documentation-First

Your QA team controls approval. We send COA, SDS, allergen declarations, and sterilization records before you commit to an order. There are no surprises at receiving — only signed-off documentation.

Built for USA Compliance

FSMA-compliant supply chain. FDA-registered facility of origin. We speak the language of USA food safety regulators because we planned for it from day one — not as an afterthought.

Questions Buyers Ask
Before Their First Order

What is the minimum order quantity for bulk paprika or garlic?
We accommodate a range of order sizes, from single 25kg bags for sampling and QC evaluation through to 1000kg bulk totes and full container loads (FCL). There is no rigid minimum — we structure orders around your production schedule. Contact us with your volume requirement and we will provide a tailored quote within 24 hours.
What certifications do your products carry?
Our Spanish production facility holds BRC Global Standards (Food), IFS Food, ISO 22000:2018 (Food Safety Management), and ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management). Individual product batches can be supplied with Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO documentation upon request. We are also a member of ASTA (American Spice Trade Association).
How do you sterilize your spices? Do you use irradiation?
We use Raphanel steam sterilization technology. This is a physical, heat-based process that achieves a minimum 5-log bacterial reduction — including Salmonella — without the use of ionizing radiation, ethylene oxide, or chemical treatment. The process preserves ASTA color value, essential oil content, and aroma characteristics. We do not use irradiation.
What documentation do you provide with each order?
Every shipment is accompanied by a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheet (SDS), sterilization log, allergen declaration, and country of origin documentation. ASTA color value, moisture content, particle size, and a full microbiological panel are included in every COA. Halal, Kosher, and Non-GMO certificates are available as add-ons.
What ASTA color values are available for paprika?
We supply paprika across the full commercial ASTA range, from ASTA 80 (mild, low-color) through to ASTA 200+ (high-intensity). Specific ASTA targets can be specified at time of order. Our Micronized and Alcantud milling systems allow us to hit tight particle size and color specifications consistently across production runs.
How long does shipping from Spain to the USAA take?
Standard ocean freight from Spain to USA East Coast ports runs approximately 12–16 days transit time. Lead time from order confirmation to USA warehouse delivery is typically 3–5 weeks depending on stock position and freight schedule. We work with established freight forwarders experienced in FDA import requirements for food ingredients.
Can you produce a custom spice blend or private label product?
Yes. We offer custom blend development under NDA for clients with proprietary formulations. Private label packaging — your brand, our product — is also available for qualified buyers. Contact us with your target flavor profile, heat level, and particle size specification to begin the development process.
Are your products FSMA-compliant?
Yes. Our Spanish production facility is registered with the FDA as a foreign food facility, and our supply chain documentation supports FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) supplier verification requirements. We provide the documentation your FSVP (Foreign Supplier Verification Program) process requires, including hazard analysis records.
How quickly can I get a sample for QC evaluation?
We can dispatch lab samples (typically 100–500g) within 5 business days of a sample request. Samples are shipped with a COA for the specific batch being sampled. To request samples, use the contact form on this page or email info@flavorfrontierdistributors.com directly.
